I’ve lived in north Florida for most of my life. I grew up here in Tallahassee and graduated from North Florida Christian in May 2002. After working several different hourly retail jobs, I enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 2007. In January 2010, I deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan as a member of the 20th Engineer Battalion, working to maintain military radio and computer systems.
After completing my term of service in June 2011, I moved back to Tallahassee to attend college using the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Since moving back home, I’ve been active in community service, primarily through my work as an instructor at Tiger Rock Martial Arts. It’s been an extremely rewarding experience and I’ve really enjoyed working with the kids to help them grow and mature, both as martial artists and as citizens of our community.
